What's in a Name?

As you can see, we have named our blog "Reynolds Rascals."  But there is a story behind the name that may tell you some things about Gerald and his family that you might not know.

Gerald grew up in a family of 5 kids, and all of them are dancers and singers.  His parents are both very talented musicians and dancers, also.  When their family was young, they began performing together at various functions.  They learned to sing beautiful harmonies and then added choreography.  They specialized in clogging, and were really amazing in their clogging skills.  Gerald remembers that the first time they had a name for their group was when they performed in a parade and his mom made a large banner with the name "Reynolds Rascals" for the float.  I guess that was how the name was born.

They even made a CD called "Reynolds Rascals Greatest Hits," and if I could figure out how to put some of their songs on this website, I would.  Anyway, I'm glad that Gerald had these opportunities growing up.   He doesn't do much clogging these days since his knee surgery, but he still loves to dance, and he has an amazing singing voice which he always uses in the ward choir.   And doesn't he look so cute on that CD cover?
