KATELEE'S 1ST PIANO RECITAL!

Katelee performed tonight in her

VERY FIRST PIANO RECITAL EVER!

We are so proud of her!

She begged and begged to be allowed to play in the recital this time; she has always wanted to, but this is the first time she was actually interested in sitting to learn a song and in practicing. We made a chart. The deal was that every time she practiced her song, she got to put a sticker on the chart. If the chart was full by the recital date, Katelee could be in the recital! If it wasn't, she couldn't be in the recital. I refused to nag or fight with her over practicing - it had to be up to her. In the end, I did encourage her practicing a little more than I would have like to, but she did finish her chart, and she did an AWESOME job in the recital tonight! She wasn't shy at all, just so excited, and she did such a wonderful job!  She was supposed to repeat the pattern of notes twice, but she was having so much fun that she played it six or eight times, instead!  It was great.
