tHRee-YeaR-oLd jOKeS

Katelee has begun to tell jokes.  Oh, dear.  If you have ever been around preschoolers who tell jokes, you know that the jokes that appeal to a three-year-old just aren't funny!  But Katelee will tell a joke and think she is so hilarious that she will laugh herself silly, which IS funny.  So I laugh.  Which makes her think she is even funnier.  So she tells more jokes.  It's a vicious cycle.  =)

Here are a couple of samples of her latest jokes.

Jennifer: Katelee, do you want to cut your sandwich into a shape?

Katelee:  Like a circle?

Jennifer:  Sure.  Or a heart?

Katelee:  Or a...a...ummmmm...refrigerator?!  (Followed by lots of hysterical laughter.)

Katelee:  Or a...uh, uh....a dishwasher?!  (Even more uncontrollable laughing.)

I told her the "knock knock" banana joke.  Bad idea.  Here is how she tells a "knock knock" joke.

Katelee:  Knock knock.

Jennifer:  Who's there?

Katelee:  A lamp!

Jennifer:  A lamp, who?

Katelee:  A banana!  (Again - lots of laughing.)

I'm afraid this is just the beginning...

  1. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Jenn! Trust me! It is JUST the beginning! And I think it gets even worse before it gets better. Good luck with that!
